Chapter 27

Storage Browser

Tablespace, segment and datafile analysis. Available in the Health module’s Storage tab and as a bottom-dock panel.

#27.1Summary tiles

Tablespaces · Allocated · Used · Datafiles · Critical (≥90 %). The critical tile turns red when any tablespace is at or above 90 % full.

#27.2Tablespace list

Each tablespace shows its name, a contents badge (PERMANENT blue, TEMPORARY cyan, UNDO amber), a usage bar and percentage, the used-of-max figures, and the datafile count. Anything at 90 % or above carries a red warning triangle.

Colour thresholds throughout the panel: green below 75 %, amber 75–90 %, red at 90 % and above.

#27.3Tablespace detail

Selecting a tablespace opens a detail pane showing extent management, segment space management, status, and four figures — Allocated, Used, Max (autoextend) and Autoextend files (how many of the datafiles can grow) — plus a large usage bar.

Two tabs beneath:

Segments — owner, segment name with a type icon, type, size, a relative-size bar comparing it with the largest segment in the tablespace, and extent count. The 100 largest segments are shown; a footer says so when the cap is reached.

Datafiles — file name, type badge, current size, max size, whether it is autoextensible (tick or dash) and its status with a colour dot.
